We passed this today. In our walks in Spain we must have seen at least 50 bathtubs in fields. It seems to be a thing. I have never heard an explanation for them and I can’t imagine what they might be for.

We passed this today. In our walks in Spain we must have seen at least 50 bathtubs in fields. It seems to be a thing. I have never heard an explanation for them and I can’t imagine what they might be for.
When we see them in Austria they have running water in them from a hose and they are there for cows to drink from. Maybe this is what they were (past tense) for, but are now abandoned.
My first thought was a ‘watering tank’ for large animals.
