I think the dogs do get used to all the walkers passing by. Some dogs bark a lot but those are usually the ones that are chained up, which is heart-breaking to see. We occasionally come across a loose dog but, again, they mostly ignore us. The only time we’ve felt afraid of a lose dog who was growling/barking at us was several years ago when we left the camino to do our own little detour through a rural area. That dog wasn’t used to strangers passing through.
Adorbs! Could they be puzzled by the continuous stream of people or so used to it they don’t get excited?
