Another pilgrimage

We started seeing signs like this:

The yellow arrow indicates the Camino de Santiago but we hadn’t seen the red arrow before. Then we saw this pair of signs:

We had intersected the Camino de Lebaniego which goes to Santo Toribio de Liebana. It has its own posts:

When we got into Unquera we found out it is having a jubilee year:

  1. The monastery that the pilgrimage leads to looks very interesting, and the route seems as if it would be very pretty, though maybe a bit rugged.

    1. Gronze.com, the site for all things Camino, lists it as a Camino. They call it a “secular pilgrimage” and say it it the hardest of all the Caminos de Santiago. It goes near the Picos. It only had 200 pilgrims in 2021 so it’s not that popular.
