Sometimes they ask whether you want a cup or a glass. Sometimes the cup one is small and the grande is in a glass. Another thing I don’t understand. The glass was too hot to hold comfortably. I would have said the cup is the best technology for hot liquids. Why use a glass?
I’m not sure why people use glasses as opposed to cups, but I can tell you that old Jewish grandmothers always have “glass tea” (as in “I’ll have a glass tea” with no “of” or “in a glass”). My grandmother used to put a sugar cube in her mouth and slurp the tea in from the glass.
