Game identified

Way back in A Coruna I took this photo and wondered what game was played on these courts which looked a little like horseshoe courts. Eating lunch in Portomarin the TV was on, of course, and I saw the game.

He starts his approach.
He makes the throw.
And he may or may not have knocked over the funny shaped object that he wanted to knock over.

I thought it was quite a coincidence, and I was surprised that they play the game on TV.

  1. And the name of the game is???

It doesn’t seem like boules, bocce or pétanque? I thought they all involved hitting a small ball.

    1. Hmm, good point. I was just so thrilled to see the game in tv that I didn’t think about that. It seems like a hard thing to google. Google lens, which we just started using a lot, wasn’t any help. Someone told me once that “in games with a ball, the line is in”. I thought that was interesting but I guess it doesn’t help. ☺️
