More on candle adjacent objects

I don’t think of the Catholic Church as a leader in marketing innovation but check this out. 50¢ for five candles, 1€ for 10, and 2€ for a whopping 20 candles. I dropped in a euro and behold, let there be 10 lights.

Kinda fun too. Try that with real candles! Well, I guess you could just light ten of them but somehow it seems kind of piggy with real candles.

And if you’re having trouble replacing those high lights, try this indoor, slimline cherry picker.
Just when I made my peace with small electric candles they start doing it with the big candles.

  1. Again, its the romance versus the sensible. Real candles are romantic, a connection to times past. Electric candles are less polluting, smoke doesn’t damage the artwork, less chance of fire.

By why 10 candles minimum. It used to be you light **a** candle for someone you want to remember. Do they think that for 50 Euro cents you will feel cheated if you only get one candle? And how long do they stay lit? A real candle burns down…

    1. Very true. That comes up in lots of places. Our hotel is in the faded glory category with beautiful wood windows. But the wood is splintering in places and they added a storm window because they can’t change it to double glazed. Modern steel windows would make more sense but I love the wood windows.

Same thing with home fireplaces, polluting but romantic.
