The fields in Spain are littered with old bathtubs. Our earlier blogs have many such photos. I asked Claude to be sure but it seems they are there for the obvious reasons.

Yes, watering. Durable, plentiful and inexpensive. It seems very ecological to reuse old bathtubs.
Have seen them in Austria too. That’s how I knew what they were for. Have seen cows drinking from them.
