Camino Frances from Saint Jean to Sahagun, then a week in Zamora
The asparagus story continues
It must be asparagus season. This little market had four kinds and one was green asparagus. They had three grades of white asparagus. The most expensive ones were the largest which goes against my intuition. This is a small Dia market near our apartment. It has four shelves of different kinds of canned asparagus.

Time for a taste test? Buy some green and some white?
We might try that when we get to Zamora and have a kitchen. Until then we will be looking for it on menus. I’d like to have someone who knows what they are doing make it to give it the best chance. I will have to get over years of hating the mushy white asparagus in the ensalada mixta we order. Wynette sort of likes it.
