  1. Yes, the sandwiches look lovely. Glad you are enjoying the coffee. Starbucks, and American coffee roasters in general, don’t understand coffee. They confuse “full flavored, dark roast” with “burnt”. Possibly the best coffee I ever had was along the Dalmatian coast of Croatia (Dubrovnik and Split) — Italian roasted coffee and water that filtered through limestone. Yes, water makes a big difference, which is why coffee is so awful in Albuquerque. And also why tea is better in Scotland than anywhere else, including England, where they use the exact same tea. The water in Scotland also is why they make such good whisky (spelled the British way).

  2. I agree with Henry about the tea in Scotland–it just can’t be beat anywhere.

Pintxos seem more like little tea sandwiches than tapas–most of which don’t have any bread. Is it like tapas sandwiches?

    1. Yes, pintxos are often like little sandwiches. Almost always at least on bread if not between breads. There are some exceptions. Sometimes they are things like fish and olives and little eggs screwed on a large toothpick. Wynette
