The Way-Slow Way

Charlie. Walking the Camino you get excited about seeing things like a flock of sheep.

They all had bells so there was constant ringing. If you look closely you can see the red and green marks on them.

Here is the shepherd and his dog.

Charlie. At our lovely stop yesterday at Boadilla we talked with this guy from Brazil (Sao Paulo). He was very enthusiastic about the Camino through France starting at Le Puy. He had walked it and said it was beautiful and the food was great. He wanted us to walk it next year. We ran into him again here in Carrion and he made us promise we would do it next year. We are thinking about it.

Apparently. More evidence:

Wynette and Charlie. Here is Susie in her lovely orange dress. We have run into her four or five times. Since we are slow we usually only see people once. Fun to see her smiling face. We’ve walked together some and shared two meals so far.

Dug into hills to keep wine cool.

Charlie. Well not exactly. All the trees you see are planted in even rows. I guess it was completely deforested over the centuries. But it is good that they are trying to reforest.

Charlie. I’m not exactly sure how you use it but it looks fun. Maybe a kid holding each cable/ball and jumping in turn?

Charlie. We had amazing clouds today. I tried to capture them. A few worked.

Charlie. We stopped for a break at an albergue and casa rural we had stopped at last year. It starts with a great door.

Inside is a mural.

Then round the corner to the bar.

We were welcomed by a friendly woman (we took her picture as we were leaving)

Just one other guy there around a cosy table. Charlie had the grande cafe.

Around the corner is the kitchen where she whipped up the best egg and chorizo bocadilla you can imagine.
