Post by Wynette: Whew, what a day. Our 11.2 mile walk today was espectacular. (Not a typo, that’s a word the Spanish say a lot that gives me a thrill every time I hear it.) We walked many awesome miles (and I don’t use that word lightly) along the ocean today. Some great inland walking as well. (Continues after photo.)
We wanted to stay in our hotel here in Ribadesella one more night (to make 3) so we left our stuff here, walked backpack-less to La Isla, then caught a bus back. Tomorrow, we’ll bus back where we left off today and continue on … with our packs.
We will probably only walk three more days. Our goal is to reach where the Camino del Norte meets the Camino Primitivo, which is at about the halfway point of the Camino Norte. We should make it there Sunday. Boo hoo. We are not ready to stop. And somehow looking forward to being home as well.
So glad you like them Holly. Can’t wait to see them on a big screen at home. Looking forward to dinner on the 19th! Wynette
